Management Staff


Front House Manager

Preston is a native of the Lowcountry growing up in Huger, SC an moving into Moncks Corner years later. He has been with The Barony House since 2004 and is "most concerned with delivering the best service to our customers, not to mention the multitude of regulars that visit many times a week. Upholding a standard of kindness and a welcoming attitude"

General Manager

Michael Sweatman was born in Charleston and after many moves came to reside in Pinopolis. He has been working at various locations with Bubba in his 20 years of service with the Lunch Box and The Barony House. He is relentlessly in pursuit to have the best plates leaving the kitchen everyday.


Owner-Head Chef

Van High, also known as "Bubba" was born in Moncks Corner and graduated from Berkeley before attending CSU. He completed his graduate work at USC before becoming the Musical Director at Berkeley for 23 years. He left to pursue his culinary interests starting the Lunch Box. In 1992 he founded the Barony House and has been going strong ever since. His standards of excellence are second to none. After 22 years he is still rolling out new ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
